The second match between Central Coast and Celebrity Ranch was fast and high scoring. The Central Coast team, the winners of the 2015 Women’s Tournament, shot accurately on goal throughout all four chukkers.  Central Coast’s victory secured their spot in the final against Plank Company.

The final of the WCT Women’s Tournament between Plank Company and Central Coast was a close fought match. Plank Company dominated the majority of the game, but in the final chukker of play, Central Coast was able to tie the score up and send the game into overtime. Plank Company once again controlled the field in the overtime chukker, but were unable to score. Two missed opportunities for Plank Company kept the score tied as the fifth chukker of play ended. Danielle Travis converted a penalty four in the head to head shootout to win the tournament.

Danielle Travis was named MVP and Dayelle Fargey’s, “Ebony” was awarded Best Playing Pony.

The USPA Wickenden Cup began the first round of bracket play on Saturday. Agua Dulce defeated Gipsy Farm and Klentner Ranch defeated Film Finances. The winners faced off against each other on Sunday after the ladies match. Following suit, the game went into overtime. Missed opportunities from Klentner Ranch early in the OT chukker were costly. Max Menini scored the winning goal giving Agua Dulce a 2-0 record. Film Finances defeated Gipsy Farm to advance with a 1-1 record.

The last round of bracket play will take place on Saturday and the final will be played at 3:00 on Sunday.
